The EWMenn team can look back on a successful week at the WIRE 2024 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
We would like to thank our global customers, partners and friends for their great interest in our innovative technologies for thread and profile rolling machines and for the many interesting discussions held on our booth.
Ceremonial presentation of certification by the Camber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) Siegen
On the occasion of the 110th company anniversary, Mr. Klaus Gräbener, Managing Director of the IHK Siegen, visited EWMenn in Hilchenbach. After a topic-rich and very informative exchange on many current events, Mr. Gräbener was impressed by the high-performance machines manufactured here in Hilchenbach, which are used for international production.
In the in-house test center, Mr. Gräbener congratulated the current EWMenn Managing Director Mr. Münker as well as the Personnel Officer Ms. Monika Bellmann, who was also present, on the successful company anniversary and presented the honorary certificate of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) Siegen.
EWMenn expresses its sincere thanks for this certificate, which will be given a special place of honor in the company.
WUPPERTAL FASTENER DAYS 2023
For the first time this year, the very well attended Wuppertal Fastener Days took place on the premises of WAFIOS Umformtechnik GmbH in Wuppertal. In addition to the lecture on innovative profile and thread rolling, the EWMenn team presented the in-house test center machine AF 141 with the new, digital machine assistants and introduced it in detail to the interested trade visitors.
The EWMenn team would like to thank the numerous visitors, customers and partners for the good discussions.

EWMenn FAMILY DAY
"Mom, Dad, what does your workplace actually look like?" EWMenn answered this question, which is certainly often asked by children, at its family day.
On 01.09.2023, timed to the 110th anniversary of the company, EWMenn offered the approximately 120 visitors the opportunity to get to know the workplace of their family member as well as the entire company at close range. The program for young and old included plant tours and machine demonstrations. For the younger guests, there were special children's tours with some hands-on activities where the kids could make some screws and fasteners themselves. A play area with a bouncy castle and face painting was also very popular with the many children. The physical well-being was well catered for with a cake buffet, an ice cream wagon and regional cold drinks and barbecue specialties. From the afternoon onwards, the family day was accompanied by live music from the band Greyhounds, which is very well known in the region.
Knowing that a significant part of the company's success is due to all the qualified employees and their families, E. W. Menn GmbH & Co. KG expresses its heartfelt thanks with this family celebration of its 110th anniversary.
Fittingly, EWMenn also celebrated two anniversaries on this day. Many congratulations, awards and the traditional anniversary corks went to Mr. Horst-Henning Brombach for 40 years of work and to Mr. Stephan Völkel for 25 years of work.
PERFORMANCE INCREASE BY SIMULATION
At an existing machine of our joint customer, the Schraubenfabrik W. Rüggeberg, the feeding capacity should be increased by 50%. Approx. 60% was achieved. With the physics simulation software developed by RNA Digital Solutions the feasibility of the new feeding concept could be checked in advance and it was possible to derive valuable information for the construction of the plant. Thanks to the virtual commissioning, several hours were also saved in the workshop, thus shortening the delivery time. We would like to thank the dedicated project teams for the great cooperation and especially the team of Schraubenfabrik W. Rüggeberg for their openness to use and trust new technologies.
WAFIOS - INNOVATION DAYS 2023
As a highlight for the international wire and tube processing industry, the third WAFIOS Innovation Days took place in Reutlingen this year from May 24 to 26, 2023.
Focus of the Innovation Days was on WAFIOS' wide range of products with around 35 exhibition machines in live operation. From trend-setting high-speed technologies to revolutionary production techniques of the latest machine concepts, WAFIOS once again designed a highly innovative and well-rounded customer event.
FASTENER FAIR GLOBAL
Stuttgart 2023
This year's Fastener Fair in Stuttgart once again offered an excellent platform for the various topics of the fastener industry. The EWMenn team like to thank all visitors for the high level of interest and the first-class exchange during the excellent discussions.
We are already looking forward to the trade fair in 2025.
2022 EWMenn presents its digital machine assistants
iQ – Setup Assist:
enables even more precise and faster setup of the machine. Almost without tools, the system allows product-specific settings to be adopted per push-button. Implemented values stored in the system are continuously compared over the machine runtime. Process optimizations can be easily set and deviations from already stored parameters are signaled user-friendly.
iQ – OEE Monitor:
creates a bundled performance overview and is ideally suited for the evaluation of the machine efficiency as well as a technological process analysis. In conjunction with a compatible OPC UA interface, a machine can be easily connected to a company network.
iQ – Energy Monitor:
provides a central overview of the current as well as the complete energy consumption.
WIRE Düsseldorf 2022

In association with WAFIOS, the motto of this year's trade fair was: Future Forming Technology. EWMenn presented its new iQ functions, the new digital machine assistants.
After a long break from the fair, this WIRE in Düsseldorf was once again a great success. To our great pleasure we could welcome not only national and European trade visitors, but also some international customers at our booth, who informed themselves extensively about the shown new developments and networked with our experts.

Fastener Fair 2019 in Stuttgart Germany this year again offered a great platform around the numerous topics of the fastener industry. The professional audience showed their keen interest in the event so we are looking forward to welcome our guests again on our booth during the oncoming fair in 2021.

New Model AF 141 Flat Die Thread Rolling Machine: Premiere at Wire 2018
20 years after the introduction of the inclined Flat Die Thread Rolling machines AF 12 and AF 14 these large AF models have been extensively re-engineered. This newest generation has already been thoroughly tested and delivered to several of our customers. At Wire 2018 the AF 141 was shown to the public for the first time.
Like their predecessors, the AF 121 and AF 141 have identical roots. The main difference between the two models is the ram stroke, permitting a maximum die size of:
- AF 141: 230/255mm / WB#40 / TR6
- AF 121: 190/210mm / WB#30 / TR5
The new AF 121 / AF 141 generation features a number of innovations, including:
- The ramslide has been changed to a T-shape, offering even higher precision and longer service life, along with increased rigidity.
- Better accessibility and easier adjustment of the rail system and railcovers.
- The machine cover has been redesigned to allow better access for the operator while eliminating coolant dripping down from opened doors.
- As on all EWMenn models the covers are designed to offer maximum accessibility during operation while conforming to strict up to date CE safety standards.
Of course, state of the art process control technology including the Adaptive Die Match system ADM®, developed in cooperation with Marposs/Brankamp, was on board as well as a connection to the Wafios 4.0 data system.
Other options shown included Hydraulic Die Carrier Clamping, Servo Drive with Electronic Handwheel, Push Button Adjustments for Die Match, Rail and Feeder Height, Sorting Flap for non-conform parts and more.
Today one AF 141 is in EWMenn´s own Testcenter where it is equipped with an induction heating system available to customers for testing of dies, parts and rolling processes. Since its introduction the Testcenter has regularly been booked by customers.

WAFIOS Hausmesse Mai 2017 in Wuppertal
Die diesjährige WAFIOS Hausmesse in Wuppertal war ein voller Erfolg. In unseren Hallen empfingen wir über 1000 Kunden und Interessenten aus aller Welt. Auch dieses Jahr lag der Schwerpunkt auf Neuentwicklungen. Besonders großes Interesse galt dem neu vorgestellten Prototypen 2B5, ein komplett neuer wirtschaftlicher 1-Matrizen Doppeldruck Kaltumformer. Des Weiteren wurden ebenfalls vorgestellt die Nagelmaschine N90-1K mit höherer Leistung, die EWMenn Gewindewalze AF14 mit aktuellen Weiterentwicklungen – insbesondere im Bereich des Einsetzens und der Prozessüberwachung – und der Gewindeschneidautomat UNT20 mit der neuen Erweiterung für die Anwendung des Außengewinderollens von Hohlteilen.
